The room was clean and had a full fridge, stovetop, & microwave. We didn’t need those, but they were nice to have in case. The shower squealed unless you pulled up on the thing to make it a shower instead of coming out the main spout several times very hard, but we figured it out. There was free electric car charging (4 spots, 2 Tesla & 2 regular chargers). I always got a spot ans they offered to have people move if anyone was parked there not charging. They apparently don’t have people charge there too often.

I'm confused about the negative reviews. Genuinely confused. I am a travel nurse and stay at hotels all year at least 3-4 nights every week, hundreds of hotels over the years. This one is up there in my faves ESPECIALLY for the price point. Yes, sometimes super duper fancy ones with pools and such are nice, but I'll take the full fridge/freezer, stove top over those. I stayed this past week. Very seldom do I go back to the same hotel each week because I am THAT picky. But I plan to finish this contract (the next 13 weeks) here and more if I extend. The room was very clean and up to date, plates/glasses/utensils/bowls/coffee maker/etc are included and pots/pans/air fryers are available if requested with NO CHARGE (most hotels charge for these items). The room was super quiet. I didn't hear a single thing except a door closing maybe twice. Can't even tell that there are dogs in the building. The hallways are clean and clear and the entire hotel smells great; much to my surprise because the 3 different hotels that I had stayed at the 3 weeks prior in the area were disgusting and weed smell all over and just nasty. The employees are very attentive to your needs and very personable, especially Roberta (she's the only one I really see due to my work hours) and she's just awesome! The other guests are awesome and super friendly and we congregate and discuss our days outside sitting on the bench. Calm atmosphere. I've already booked a reservation for this week and will be booking for next 12 weeks. Thanks for all you guys do!

Very convenient location. Overall a decent place to stay. Room was clean, wifi was fast. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was that it has 4 ev chargers. That is more than any other nearby hotel in louisville. When I arrived to the hotel at 9 pm, 3 of the 4 ev chargers were occupied by ICE vehicles. I was able to grab the last spot and charge over night at 8kW, but if all of them had been blocked I would have been very disappointed. I stayed on the 2nd floor. The hallway really smelled of cigarette smoke, thankful the room did not.

So..... I'm really struggling with how I'm going to make this review understandable and make sense! I could easily sum it up with, "If it weren't for Diana, & I hope I didn't misspell her name but you get the point. If it weren't for that lady working at this place, I'd keep it pushing." However, don't get me wrong, there ARE other employees who are great. Well, they do their Job I guess you could say. Also, Keely (Housekeeper), is probably the ONLY ONE that I saw literally working herself to death, just to make sure the rooms actually get cleaned as if she were to live/stay there herself. I know that should be a given, but unfortunately, not at that particular location. I'm sure it's not easy when u have almost 100 rooms to clean and therefore, a lot of ppl just do the bare minimum & move on. So shouts out to her as well. My point in all of this is; Don't expect your room to get cleaned, not even on a 3-4 day basis. Don't ask for anything, as a matter of fact, STAY AWAY from 1st shift all together unless u enjoy being treated and spoken to as if you're NOT SPENDING MONEY THERE, AND LIKE YOU'RE NOT A FREAKING HUMAN BEING! No matter HOW NICE you are, none of that matters. You can't win with 1st shift, so don't even try. The ONLY REASON I'm even leaving a review is Bec of Diana, and how much of a super hero she is even when she's ran circles around many others, prob tired as all get out, but STILL makes sure you're stay is to the best of her possible ability! She goes above and beyond and honestly, I feel she needs to be paid as if she were 2 diff people considering she does the work of 2 ppl in the time it takes 1 person by themselves. She's always friendly and I promise you, half of the guests staying there, prob wouldn't have even considered extending if it weren't for her, bec babbbyyyy let me tell u... Idk the woman's name who works 1st shift but it wouldn't matter bec if u ever get the pleasure of making her aquaintance you'll know EXACTLY who I'm talking about. I'm going to start to close this here Bec I've gotten myself worked up and written an entire novel, and I prob should have kept it simple but it's like the Twilight zone and u don't know what you're going to get or deal with each day. So yeah, location is 10/10. Rooms 8/10. Staff- Diana, Keely and the lady who works maintenance 10/10. Housekeeping as a whole 5/10.( They do have dishes and utensils in the room , so that's a plus). There's no deposit and with the economy the way it is, that's another selling point for me. In short, if you just need a nights or 2 to stay somewhere, it's perfect. Long term like extended stays, I'd prob reconsider depending on your financial situation.

I really appreciate the opportunity for me to stay at a motel that is like an apartment home. This is the kind of motel that has kitchenette with pots and pans, as well as toasters and diningwares. The front desk ladies are nice enough, but you should know that this is the place that only serves coffee in the morning and you have to cook or buy your own breakfast. It is also important to know that there is no housekeeping at this place in between nights and days, meaning you would have to take out your own trash and there is no bed changing or cleaning either. You would also need to take your dirty linens to exchange for a new one at the front desk. The location of this place is fine, but do take the difference between this motel and other motels/hotels before you choose to book here.

This is an absolutely great place to stay for a short term or long term stay. The rooms are large and clean. Comes with all the amenities in your room to make you're stay very comfortable. The lobby always has coffee in the morning and evening. Very friendly and helpful staff. Kameryn is awesome, very friendly and will help out with any questions you have. His entire staff has one mission and that to make the guests very welcome. I love that. It's dog friendly and they dog treats for the furry babies in the lobby. There is laundry onsite, a nice workout room, gas stations and restaurants right down the street. Right near the expressway exit.

I want to take a moment to highlight someone truly exceptional at MainStay Suites — Yahnise at the front desk. I have stayed in many hotels, but I have never encountered someone with her level of compassion, kindness, and genuine care. She was a blessing at a time when I needed it the most. From the moment I walked in, she was welcoming, patient, and warm. She made me feel safe, seen, and supported — something you don’t often find in customer service these days. She checked me in with a smile, listened to me, and went out of her way to make sure my stay was comfortable and stress-free. What truly stood out is how thoughtful and naturally helpful she is. She gave me smart suggestions, great advice, and guided me through things I didn’t even know I needed help with. She didn’t just do her job — she exceeded every expectation with grace, professionalism, and a genuine heart. In a world where people rush through everything, Yahnise is a breath of fresh air. She made my stay worthwhile. She made a hard moment easier. She treated me with respect, kindness, and humanity. People like her are rare, and MainStay Suites is incredibly lucky to have her. If I could give more than five stars, I would. Thank you, Yahnise — truly God-sent.
